One day visit

Un dia és just per visitar tots els espais que formen part de PalafrugellPlus però, amb una bona organització, tot és possible! Us proposem un recorregut en cotxe per optimitzar el temps al màxim:

Cap Roig Botanical Gardens 10 p.m. - 1 hour 30 minutes

The visit starts at the Cap Roig gardens right as they open at 10 a.m. The reception has a map available with a marked itinerary. The route should take approximately an hour and a half. At the entry to the gardens there is a large parking area where you can leave your car free of charge.

Sant Sebastià de la Guarda Historical Site 12 p.m. - 1 hour 30 minutes

To go up to the top of Mount Sant Sebastià you pass through the overlook next to the lighthouse, and a few metres above, in the direction of Hotel el Far, on the right-hand side, there is a free parking area. From the 1st of June to the 30th of September, the access by car to the summit is restricted, but you can park without problem on Paraguai or Cristòfol Colom streets. From here, you can go up to the hermitage. Next to the hermitage you can find the Iberian settlement, which you can visit free of charge and which features informative panels. After visiting the settlement, you can check out the Watchtower. The summit offers a unique birds-eye view of the site.

Josep Pla Foundation 5 p.m. - 1 hour

At the birthplace writer born in Palafrugell, you can discover his personal and professional journey within the historical context of the 20th century, in addition to the temporary exhibitions about a specific aspect of his work. The visit lasts approximately one hour. Below the Foundation, on carrer Anselm Clavé, there is a free parking area all year long except the months of July and August. Even when it’s a paid parking area the first 90 minutes are free. From here, the rest of the spaces are just a few minutes away by foot, so you can leave the car here for the rest of the afternoon.

Cork Museum 6:15 p.m. 1 hour 15 minutes

The museum building, an old modernist cork manufacturer, features a variety of spaces that allows visitors to take a stroll through the history of the cork-making world. The complete visit lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, including the multimedia presentation.
Right next to the Cork Museum there is a paid parking area, with entry through carrer Begur. The Cork Museum manages the Can Mario Modernist Water Tower.

Can Mario Modernist Water Tank 7:15 p.m. - 15 minutes

Located a few metres from the Cork Museum, this tower supplied water to the old factory and today offers the best panoramic views and has become an iconic symbol of Palafrugell. The pink building behind the water tower is the next point of interest.

Vila Casas Foundation – Can Mario Museum 7:30 p.m. (1 hour 30 minutes)

You can visit the permanent exhibition and the temporary exhibitions by artists and sculptors born or residing in Catalonia on your own. This multipurpose space features sculptures for all tastes.
